Dylan Harper

About

Dylan James Harper is proud to be a part of Sonoma State's Communication and Media Studies Department. He studied communications at SFSU, received his Masters in English and Creative Writing from SNHU, and his Masters in Teaching from USF. His academic focus has been the evolving role of literary and media criticism in a digital world, and the relationship between cultural and economic hierarchies. He hopes to bring his professional and academic experiences to the classroom to help support students in viewing the world around them through a critical and compassionate lens. When he's not teaching, he enjoys writing short and long form fiction, and spending time with his wonderful wife, their one perfectly behaved dog, one poorly behaved dog, and one adequately behaved cat. His favorite flowers are sunflowers.
