The Sitting Room (library, poetry writing and art history center--focusing on women), which is within easy walking distance from SSU is seeking interns for Fall 2026
The Sitting Room has been rocketing along under the direction of our new Program Director, Iris Jamahn Dunkle and her assistant and social media pro, Nox Lyons, who served as the Sitting Room intern last Spring.
The Sitting Room Library internships are ideal for people who are imagining a future in library science, arts, art history, writing and or art administration.
The interns would benefit from working with Joyce Libeu on our ever expanding shelves of books focused on women, of course, along with the art archives.
We have a fascinating collection of archival material focused on women writers and activists. Eloise van Tassel would love to train someone in this actually rather “hot” area — the person should be able to lift legal boxes full of files and should abound in curiosity.
