 Internship Overview
Work alongside our volunteer and staff teams to help tell the story of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. This internship is perfect for creative, motivated, and outgoing students or early career professionals who want hands-on experience in digital and video marketing, content creation, and nonprofit communications. 
 
Responsibilities
 • Create and edit short-form videos for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube). 
• Own our social media calendar and digital marketing by helping plan and post visual content and videos. 
• Produce video compilations and highlight reels for Habitat’s website, donor events, and community talks. 
• Film and interview Habitat homeowners, volunteers, and staff to capture authentic, impactful stories. • Assist with storyboarding, script writing, and content planning for ongoing video campaigns. 
• Help with website updates (WordPress) and monthly newsletter storytelling when needed. 
 
Qualifications 
• Experience with video production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Canva video). 
• Comfortable filming and interviewing people in community and worksite settings. 
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain and manage a social media content calendar. 
• Ability to learn and apply Habitat’s brand voice and visual identity to create on-brand social media content. 
• Creative storyteller with a strong eye for visuals, composition, and pacing. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Learning Opportunities
