The Sonoma County Certified Farmers Market Group is seeking enthusiastic and creative interns to help operate our Kids Craft Corner at the Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market on Saturdays.

This is an unpaid internship designed to provide hands-on experience working with children, families, community engagement and educational activities. Academic credit can be accommodated when applicable.

Position Overview

The Kids Craft Corner provides free, family-friendly activities for children attending the farmers market. Interns will help create a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment where children can participate in simple crafts, seasonal projects, educational activities, and hands-on experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of the Kids Craft Corner
  • Welcome children and families to the activity area
  • Help children complete crafts and activities
  • Encourage creativity and participation
  • Monitor supplies and help keep the area organized
  • Provide excellent customer service to families
  • Assist with seasonal themes and special events
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for children

Schedule

Primary Location:
Saturday Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market

  • Luther Burbank Center Parking Lot
  • Saturdays
  • Approximately 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Flexible scheduling available based on student availability.

  • Interest in education, child development, psychology, social work, recreation, community engagement, or related fields
  • Enjoys working with children and families
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Strong communication skills

  • Creative and willing to help lead activities
