Academic Credit: Eligible for SSU COMS 499 internship credit Watershed Media is looking for a creative, organized, and motivated intern for Summer 2026. You will work directly with the host and producer of the Full Expression podcast to expand our digital presence, assist in production, and help preserve our organizational history through an archive organizing project. They will also look at recent grads.
What You’ll Do • Social Media: Promote new episodes across platforms. •
Production Support: Assist with guest research, outreach, and episode planning. •
Audio Editing: Learn the ropes of post-production by assisting with initial edits and show notes.
• Archive Project: Help us organize assets to ensure our library is accessible for future use.
What You’ll Learn • The end-to-end workflow of professional podcast production. • Strategic guest planning and interview prep. • Practical skills in audio editing software. • Content marketing and audience engagement strategies.
Who You Are • A student or early-career creator with a passion for storytelling and audio. • Highly organized with an eye for detail (especially for the archive project).
Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.). • A self-starter who is comfortable working on a small, collaborative team.

You would be working on the Full Expressions podcast. To listen to the episodes go here: https://danimhoff.com/podcast/
You would be working with Megan Botel, producer with the LA Times and former LA Public Radio producer as well as Dan Imhoff. Half the time you would be helping edit the episodes down to 30 minutes for distribution with Pacifica Network and half the time you'd be reaching out to radio program directors across the United States and Canada to increase the distribution of the show. You would be part of the team and gain experience with some incredible journalists in the field. We recommend you listen to the episodes to get a feel for the show. This opportunity will be during the summer and go into September.
