About NCVA
The Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) is one of the largest and most active regional volleyball associations in the country, supporting clubs, athletes, coaches, officials, and tournaments throughout Northern California. We are dedicated to growing the sport of volleyball through high-quality events, strong community partnerships, and outstanding member support.
Internship Overview
NCVA is seeking motivated, organized, and enthusiastic interns to support our day-to-day operations and event-related activities. This is a hands-on, paid internship that offers real-world experience in sports administration, event management, marketing, communications, and customer service.
Interns will work closely with NCVA staff, volleyball clubs, officials, and tournament partners. We are happy to tailor the internship experience to align with your major, career goals, or specific areas of interest.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on interests and scheduling, interns may assist with:
- General office and administrative support
- Data entry and database management
- Event and tournament operations support
- Merchandising and inventory organization
- Coordinating and assisting with officials
- Hospitality and help desk support at events
- Customer service and member communications
- Marketing, communications, and social media support
- Sponsorship activation and partner support

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university
- Interest in sports management, business, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working with data, technology, and customer-facing tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Volleyball experience or familiarity is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Compensation
- 15–20 hours per week
- $20 per hour
- Schedule flexibility available around classes
- Some evening or weekend availability may be required during events
