Job Title: Arts Administration Intern

Location: Sebastopol, California 

Duration Pay: 

● 7 months, January 2 – July 31, 2024, 75 hours/month 

● $750 per month stipend 

● Enrolled in academic coursework or graduated within 1 year of internship.

Position Overview: 

Sebastopol Center for the Arts is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the arts, community engagement, and gaining hands-on experience in a non-profit arts organization. The Intern will work closely with our staff to support various aspects of our programs and operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and other events hosted by SebArts. 

● Marketing and Promotion: Help with social media management, content creation, and marketing campaigns to promote SebArts's events and programs. 

● Gallery Assistance: Assist with gallery installations, art handling, and maintenance, ensuring the gallery space is welcoming and well-maintained.

● Administrative Tasks: Provide general office support, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries via phone and email. 

● Membership and Donor Engagement: Assist in maintaining donor and membership databases, sending acknowledgments, and supporting membership drives. 

● Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach initiatives, engaging with local businesses, schools, and organizations to promote SebArts's mission. 

● Fundraising and Grant Research: Assist in researching potential grants, sponsors, and fundraising opportunities to support SCA's programs and operations. 

● Special Projects: Collaborate on special projects and initiatives as assigned by the SebArts team, which may include research, event planning, or program development. 

Qualifications: 

● Passion for the arts and a strong interest in community engagement. ● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

● Detail-oriented and well-organized. 

● Ability to work with the public and volunteers. 

● Proficiency in Google Office and familiarity with social media platforms. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

● Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. 

● Availability to commit to the specified duration of the internship.
