Internship Overview

Work alongside our volunteer and staff teams to help tell the story of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. This internship is perfect for creative, motivated, and outgoing students or early-career professionals who want hands-on experience in digital and video marketing, content creation, and nonprofit communications.

 

Responsibilities

       Create and edit short-form videos for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube).

       Produce video compilations and highlight reels for Habitat’s website, donor events, and community talks.

       Film and interview Habitat homeowners, volunteers, and staff to capture authentic, impactful stories.

       Assist with storyboarding, script writing, and content planning for ongoing video campaigns.

       Support social media and digital marketing by helping plan and post video and visual content.

       Help with website updates (WordPress) and monthly newsletter storytelling when needed.

 

Qualifications

       Experience with video production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Canva video).

       Comfortable filming and interviewing people in community and worksite settings.

       Creative storyteller with a good eye for visuals and pacing.

       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

       Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects.
