Jennifer (Jenny) Stratton is a visual journalist, artist, educator and community media organizer. Jenny received a MFA from Duke University and while there completed a U.S. Education Department FLAS fellowship in Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Studies. As a Lewis Hine Fellow at the Center for Documentary Studies, Jenny's research and creative work focused on restorative narratives, collaborative media making practices and maternal healthcare. She continues to support visual storytellers of all ages through participation in mentorship programs and skill sharing workshops with schools, social justice nonprofits, community centers and organizations including the Center for Environmental Filmmaking, Roots Lab, National Geographic Photo Camps ,and the Rural Opportunity Institute.
