FLOWER + HEWES Art Gallery internships (Sonoma)
Summer internships in Gallery management/marketing/sales as well potential to continue in the fall
· Motivated to learn the ins and outs of gallery management and sales
· Works well independently, isn’t afraid to ask questions
· Must be able to present well and take ownership of their work
· Sales commission plus the gallery will pay for summer tuition for the internship units/class at SSU (i.e. will pay you $900 for 3 units, for example, plus you will get sales commissions).
· Must have a positive, can-do attitude. Willingness to learn about the art/gallery world. Former interns have landed jobs at places such as the Getty Art Museum.
Tasks
Students will receive training. There is a lot to learn about how to run/work/ a high-end gallery (in the past, the gallery has hosted Julian Lennon etc.)
· Mail blasts
· Event management
· Inventory management of art as well as jewelry
· Will go back and forth between Lodge Spa Resort Gallery and Gallery on Sonoma Square
